Don’t use words that aren’t real!
I’ve used the word in the past and I know you have too; be honest. For those who don’t know irregardless is not a word. Let me say it again for the people in the back: irregardless is not a word. Let me explain why irregardless is not a word.
Let’s start with the definition of regardless. According to Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary, regardless means: despite everything. The prefix ‘ir’ isn’t needed because the ‘less’ brings the negative to the word. Using both ‘ir’ and ‘less’ would be like having a double negative and it would change the definition of the word. If you don’t remember anything remember this: irregular is not a word.
